The services listed in this category are professional ones; businesses and the like offering something for hard cash. In most cases that means travel arrangements though ancillary services are also put here for convenience.

Different styles of traveller have widely varying attitudes towards the payment of professionals. Extremist backpackers would consider it a waste of their meagre funds to pay anyone else for the privilege of suffering queues and other essential hardships. At the other end of the scale, there are those who go abroad in considerable fear and who are willing to pay anyone who may increase their chances of returning alive and intact even if a lot less wealthy. Most of us fit somewhere in the middle and would at least like to know what is on offer before deciding that it's 'a bit too much'.

There is a fair degree of crossover between this category and 'Styles of travel'. In many cases we list sites under both. If you can't find what you are looking for here though, that would be the next best starting point.
